When you book a service call with Dalton Heating & Air Sandy Springs, you’re not getting a random subcontractor or a rotating cast. You get one of four people who actually work this territory, know these neighborhoods, and answer to the same standard. Marco Benitez has built the crew around a simple idea: a technician who puts their name on the work cares more than one who hides behind a dispatcher. Every person below has been background-checked, factory-trained across the nine major residential brands we service, and held to The Garrison Code on every single job. That means arriving inside the stated window, putting the price in writing before any work starts, doing the job by the book, and leaving your home cleaner than we found it.

Our People
Marco Benitez, Owner
Marco has owned Dalton Heating & Air Sandy Springs since 2016, and he still takes service calls when the schedule gets tight. He started as an installer in 2005, moved into diagnostics, then spent three years running service for a multi-brand shop before branching out on his own. Marco is Trane and Carrier certified, carries an EPA 608 universal refrigerant license, and gets particular about things like static pressure readings and proper recovery procedures. He’s the reason the pricing is in writing before anything starts. His words: “A handshake is nice. A written price is better.” On slow days you’ll find him in the shop rebuilding a compressor he swears still has life left in it.
DeMarcus T., Lead Service Technician
DeMarcus has been in residential HVAC in metro Atlanta since 2011 and has run diagnostics on everything from a 1998 Goodman package unit to brand-new Lennox variable-speed systems. He’s our lead on AC repair in Sandy Springs and the surrounding area, and he handles the calls where three other companies couldn’t find the problem. DeMarcus holds NATE certification in air conditioning and heat pump service, plus factory training with Carrier, Rheem, and Daikin. He keeps a small notebook in the van with every condensing unit model he’s ever worked on. Ask him about the time he found a squirrel’s acorn stash blocking a blower wheel in Dunwoody, and he’ll tell you the squirrel organized it better than most supply houses.
Rosa M., Senior Installer
Rosa leads our heat pump installation crew and has been setting residential systems since 2009. She came up doing apartment turnovers, which taught her to work fast without cutting corners, then moved into single-family installs where the quality bar is higher. Rosa is factory-trained on Trane, Goodman, and American Standard equipment, and she handles the load calculations and duct transitions that make or break a heat pump’s efficiency. She can spot an undersized return from across the driveway. Outside work, Rosa restores old motorcycles, and she treats copper line sets with the same patience she gives a carburetor rebuild.
Jake S., Service Coordinator
Jake is the voice on the phone when you call (478) 400-5908, day or night. He has been with Dalton Heating & Air Sandy Springs since 2021 and handles scheduling, parts ordering, and the live dispatch board. Jake grew up in Sandy Springs and can tell you whether a tech can get from Abernathy Road to Spalding Drive faster via Johnson Ferry or Roswell, which actually matters when your AC dies in July. He’s not a technician, but he knows enough to triage, and he never books a job without confirming the arrival window in writing. If Marco’s the one who sets the standard, Jake is the one who makes sure the schedule actually holds it.
One Standard, Every Job
Dalton Heating & Air Sandy Springs is part of the Garrison Partners network, a group of independently owned HVAC companies operating across the Southeast. That network is bound by The Garrison Standard, and it applies to every one of the people named above, no exceptions. The Standard means three things on every call: a written price before any work starts, a written guarantee on every repair, and a free return visit if the work fails within the guarantee period. The Garrison Code goes further: arrive inside the stated window, do the job by the book, leave the site clean, and stand behind the work for a full year. Marco puts it this way: “The Standard isn’t a plaque. It’s the reason I don’t lose sleep before a callback.” The crew sees it the same way. When DeMarcus or Rosa writes their name on a job sheet, that name stays attached to the work for 365 days under the Done Right Promise. If it’s not done right, we make it right. That’s the deal, in writing, every time.
